Photography Competition

Interested in submitting a paper-based artwork or photograph (taken by the student) to be displayed at our inaugural art exhibition at MDSC this year?
Read on to find out more!

This year’s theme is ‘Community, Compassion and Change’.
We are looking for submissions that relate to the themes of each of the 4 academic days. You can explore the good, the bad and the ugly of our profession in “Our Medical Community”, or share stories on Indigenous Australians or the immigrant population in “Temporary Mobility”. You can even re-orientate our focus on patients often overlooked in “Defining a Patient”, or highlight medical innovations that are out of this world in “The Jaw Drop”.

Only paper-based artworks (maximum A3 size) and photographs are accepted.

The deadline has been extended! Register your artworks and photographs here by Monday 18th June, 5pm!

If your artwork submission is shortlisted, you will be notified 1-2 weeks before conference and you will then be required to bring your completed artwork on the first day of conference, Monday 25 June, 9 am. If your photographic submission is shortlisted, the Film & Photography Student Society (FAPSS) will contact you via email and arrange to have your photograph printed for the display. Entries must be original, but do not need to be a new work.

Clinical School Cup points will be earned for making a submission and bonus points will be awarded for being shortlisted.
Additionally, shortlisted submissions will stand a chance to win the ‘People’s Choice Award’ or the ‘Dean’s Prize’ in the 2 categories of artworks and photographs.

So what are you waiting for?
