DAY PLANNING

What is the Planner?

One of the key functions of the app is to help you plan your timetable for the week. We have allocated you to the Academic Workshop you have registered into, and all of the keynotes for the week. It is up to you to fill in the rest of your timetable.

For each day, you should have the following pattern in your ‘My schedule’ tab:

  • Purple: Keynote 1
  • Orange: Academic Session during Symposia 1
  • Green: Academic Session during Symposia 2
  • Blue: Academic Session during Symposia 3
  • Purple: Keynote 2

Notes:

  1. There are double sessions that will occur through Symposia 2 and Symposia 3. They will be coloured green. If you have chosen one of these sessions, you will not have a blue Academic Session for the day.
  2. If you have chosen to attend 1 or more Wellness Activities, you will also have additional red sessions for the day.

Clicking ‘Attending’ does not constitute a guaranteed registration into the Academic Session. This is an expression of interest only, and a way for you to plan your timetable. Therefore, if the Academic Session is very popular, there is a chance you may miss out on a seat if you arrive late.

The app will tell you how many seats are remaining in each Academic Session, which will indicate its popularity. As we have previously mentioned, session attendance will use a ‘first-come, first-served’ approach, so we recommend arriving on time to maximise your chances of obtaining a seat.

The News Feed will be moderated to ensure that it maintains a positive environment. There is no place for unwarranted negativity in the News Feed, and users repeatedly abusing this feature will be banned, and their case will be directed to the Department of Medical Education for review.

It will also contain important information about the conference, so keep your eyes peeled!
